As a proud member of Out In Tech, the world's largest non-profit community of LGBTQ+ tech professionals, I actively participate in the events held by them. One of the events is Digital Corp, it's a one-day hackathon-like workshop where we will be grouped up based on our specialties, i.e. design, development, PM, writing...etc, and help LGBTQ+ grassroots organizations around the world to build their websites. In this case, I work with 4 other volunteers to build a website for WACHA Health, a leading non-profit organization that champions a holistic approach to HIV prevention and mental health well-being in Kenya, Africa. After the website launched, WACHA Health has amplified its voices online and successfully connect to 20+ local LGBTQ+ groups in Kenya to form a stronger support system for the people in need.
